Jim Thompson's House; aka. 'looking like a tourist'

So, guess where I visited yesterday?Yes, at the Jim Thompson's House. This will be picture heavy entry, even I use thumbnails... Most of the pictures are from the garden (it's not allowed to take pictures from inside the house), so in case anyone is planning to redo their garden here's few hints.

View to the khlong (btw, it really was a bit smelly) from the garden, and old pier wall (picture taken about from the old gate to pier is). (The James H.W. Thompson Foundation had to build new wall behind it to protect the property.)

Modern day and paradise living together happily... left and right shore of the pond - and what you see when you rise your eyes up.

How about having nice little pool in the backyard and some nice manta rays in there?

Or maybe more traditional gold fishes would be better? These views are of the restaurant's terrace over there. (Don't know how the food is in there though.)

All the pictures in here, some of them are bit blurry though...

I also learned that in this part of the city you just can't ask taxi to take you to Chong Nonsi, as they'll take you to the nearby wát Chong Nonsi instead of Chong Nonsi station. Silly thing is that I knew it's there, but didn't realise it. (Though Wolfie didn't knew it, so I showed him a part of the neighbourdhood he was not aware of - you can actually see wát in question from the living room window.)

Today? I'm dead tired. Don't know was it because I stayed up to almost two o'clock or was it that Vietnamese food we ate yesterday. It was good, but so sugary that my body might have disliked it just because of that.
Though, thanks to that food my stomach is finally better. Had problems with it for few days... suspected lactose intolerance coming back, dehydration, cold or intolerance for ibuprophen. Don't know what it was in the end... Dehydration and/or cold could be the possible reasons.
Cold? Oh yes. I went to Chatuchak Weekend Market with A. and L. in Saturday, and we got attacked by nice little thunderstorm... yes, we were wet when we got back to the BST station, and as those trains have extremely good air conditioning you can deduce what happened. (And of course, that taxi I came back from Chong Nonsi had very good AC too.)
And apparently I had fever in Sunday - in addition of having menstruation cramps. But it could still be all about dehydration.
