I was chatting with Linda today and she happened to mention Teresa Wentzler's "Noah's Ark" and how she would love to have it some day even it is OOP (Out Of Print). I recalled adoring that same design in someone's blog and thought that I would like to find the design.
Well, just after we had ended our little gossip moment I decided to google the design, just out of curiosity, and found this as Buy Now.

I think I don't even need to ask you to guess did I buy it or not.

Didn't I say something?

I got the flu shot Friday morning, and as usual felt quite woozy about an hour after it, but then I felt better than in ages so I was in hopes that this time my body wouldn't react too strongly with the viruses (ref: Hepatitis A vaccination)... Saturday morning I woke up with an aching head (which was temporarily cured by someone ^^) and when the morning turned to late afternoon I wasn't fit enough to sit for longer than 15 minutes at one time and had a fever. I also feel like quite wobbly, which probably means that I have to take a day off in Monday.

That also meant no stitching for yesterday, but I did manage to convert quite a few of my pre-PCStitch designs to *.pat format - once they are all converted I can get some more room onto my hard drive as I can just burn them on a CD and then delete the files.

And the winner is...

Medical industry i.e. I am on sick leave (for two days) and on antibiotics - and because pharmacists are on strike the local pharmacy opens later than usual so I need to make another ride today to get my antibiotics.
Great fun...

Once again I played with Google's image search, this once with my surname and found a picture which made a great avatar (elsewhewre) - even it is yellow: Peri.

Asthma attacks

If I hate something it's having an asthma attack while sleeping... How I know I have them if I sleep? They come into my dreams, though nowadays my Salbutamol discus is also in my dreams, but nevertheless I don't enjoy breathing problems when I am awake nor when I am sleeping. EVen less when I am sleeping as it means that I will wake up tired... and I should clean and do the laundry and pack my things and all that...

Have you ever thought of getting a rider on your household insurance to properly cover your stash (some of us have quite an extensive stash that an average household policy wouldn't fully cover) in the case of some sort of damage to your house that would destroy/ruin charts, fabrics, floss, etc?

If I recall correctly my household insurance has coverage for collections worth 16 000 euros or less so my stash is well covered - though I should keep better inventory of what I have (same thing with books, I should catalog them).

Something which amused me

... before someone reminded me of "wonderfulness" of human kind (Thanks is apparently too much... or knowing what you are doing... *shudder*): 'Viracocha wants his stuff back'.

And last, but not least...

I have been thinking of my negative result in latex prick and I have to admit that I want to get positive result from that epicutane.
Not because I love to have 'odd' allergies, but because it would provide a simple answer to some tricky questions.

If latex set turns out to be negative in epicutane there will be so many questions and so few answers... Like

• Could it be some chemical compound used in natural rubber products which causes the problems?
• Could it be some compound which comes from equation warmth + moist + latex (+ lubricant - as I got first symptoms from condoms, and they have lubricant on the surface (unnecessary stuff if you ask from me...))?
• Am I just oversensitive to certain chemicals? (As, admittedly, I have got respiratory problems from a lubricant used in polyurethane condoms... I know, too much information. *grin*)
• Why the heck I get symptoms from foods which are known cross reactives with latex allergy?

It sounds crazy, to want to have some medical condition just to explain things, but I prefer to have familiar Hell than unknown one...
We'll see it in next week.

In other news

I went to the employment services yesterday as it was day for my regularly scheduled reporting and...
I made an appointment with a "rehabilitation" counsellor (it will be in January) as in my situation there are only few reasonable options to get me back to work in future (one of them is re-educating me, which is what I'm after. And I mean all expenses paid deal as that's only way for me to finance that fun (can't get student loan, social services may support me or may not and the likelihood that I'd find suitable job to finance my studies (actually government supports students, but I could only pay rent with that money) is non-existent (not to mention that my psyche couldn't take it))) and I need to discuss about them with someone who knows something about those options.

And.. my allergy tests are in Wednesday, which also means that since today I am not allowed to take any antihistamines... Fortunately I'll be on my own over the holidays so I'm in no danger of having any level of anaphylaxis before Wednesday.

In addition to everything else I'm feeling lousy. Go away you bad, bad cold!

I miss my memes, but how could I answer to them at the moment when they're all about Christmas..? Never celebrated that thing, and therefore I've no experience on it. (I'm very meticulous when it comes to etymology of words. *evil grin*)
