My innocent victims

Haa! I got poor Angela into blogging. Another victim.

And VE item is almost stitched. It has took more time than I assumed, but now there's only some backstitching left, and cross stitched line around the design, so it shouldn't take that long. Then I have time to stitch my Winter again (which reminds me: I should modify my topiary entries as I changed photo hosting service for SAL pictures as Albumtown sucks and doesn't seem to work like ever). At least I can have some progress with it before Friday which is starting day of Silhouettes SAL at EMS BB.
I'm organizing it so I think it's better for me to start it in Friday.

LNS

Maybe I should just believe that her customer service has gotten worse? I placed an order for few needles (well... yes) in Sunday and haven't heard anything from her since. And she still hasn't sent my Kreinik I ordered ages ago.
Apparently I just have to try my luck with some other online shop - which means ordering even needles from abroad as Finnish ONS's seem to be... disappointing experiences.

Stash!

My LNS owner sent me another parcel and now I've got everything she owed me. ^^

I've been stitching one SOLAK square just to get hang of stitching again (Like I'd been sick that long... ) and I like how it's coming out even the design is very simple.

Picture will follow...

Stash update.

Got that pattern and Rainbow Gallery's PTB. Apparently nymo thread and beading needles were meant for compensation. Well, I'm not complaining...

297; LNS and writing.

It's always good to whine a bit: I got email from her, and apparently some items are on their way. I wont believe before I get them.

For some reason I've odd feeling now, feeling that I should learn to write again. And I mean really write, blogging isn't writing in that sense.
In fact it's about time as I haven't been writing anything in ages (mostly in years, though I had this short writing spree when I was with A.). I used to write poems, and tried some prose occasionally, but was never very good at later. But I wasn't that bad in first one.

And now I feel like writing prose. My head is filled with thoughts, but they're still too shattered to be processed. Anyway this is interesting change in me. I may even know what caused it.(Saw inside of Sonnenschein again - that doesn't happen that often - and his sadness is my sadness too. (I just can handle it better.) In fact it's almost scary how similar we're in certain things - and how different in some.)

Quote of the day.

"If I am not for myself, who will be for me? And if I am only for myself, what am I? And if not now, when?"

296

Yes, I'm counting.

Anyway... I received my ornament!

Amy did excellent job with it. It's just so cute. ^^
Now I just have to find appropriate place to hang it - at this moment it's hanging from a knitting needle coming out of little shelf I've on my computer desk.

Sleeping.

Mozart works, though now it wasn't wanted effect, but... went to get little nap and woke up five hours later. But at least I saw sensible dreams (also quite good dreams), didn't woke up sweating or in panic-like state and felt awake after few minutes of zombiness.

XS.

Haven't heard from LNS yet, and to be honest it's making me a bit suspicious, as according to her service in past she should have replied to me already. According to her service in past she'd have answered to me in one day. (Ok, I sent that mail in Thursday so I shouldn't be that worried yet, but paranoia is a good hobby. )

Btw, DMC doesn't want to have foreign mentors - I know I'm not only one who got that email. Well, why they had country selection in their application form then?

Good hair day, BS and whining.

First day in this week I've good hair day, and apparently I've to thank my new shampoo. It seems to me that it's not only my skin which dislikes central heating, my hair tends to dry also during winter - at least nowadays.
I ordered moisturizing shampoo when I made that cosmetics order few days back and that parcel arrived yesterday - think about that: I placed an order in Tuesday evening and goodies were behind my door ~11:30 in Thursday morning (not to mention that postages were 0€ and it included home-delivery).
In fact I've also good face day, don't know why though as I've been bit blue lately. (Worrying about things I can't affect in any way; sucks to be me.) Anyway, while putting my war paint (or make-up, what ever) on I realized something. It's bit hilarious that for someone as blonde/ pale as I am carmine red lip gloss is not too dark (as I feared). In fact it's exactly same shade as my own natural colour is. Now I understand why people sometimes have difficulties to believe that I don't use lipstick.

And as I'm talking about look related things I add few words about colours and their affect... Black (more like anti-colour) seems to be something I need to stay sane. And preferably very much of it. Few days ago I tested and wore completely normal colours, dark beige+ burgundy, and felt bit odd whole day. After it I've used mostly black and felt much better.
Today... dark beige corduroys and I've no problems using them, but I've black shirt.
Anyway, it's quite interesting how some colour just seems to be so deep in my personality that I feel incomplete without it.

LNS and general stash shopping.

I emailed my LNS owner yesterday with specification of those items I haven't received from her. There's one chart I've ordered about six months ago and still haven't got it... Most of them have been ordered over two months ago and I haven't heard from them since (my euros were nice anyway).... I've decided not to order anything from her for some time, and not before I get everything I've paid for. And it's very possible that I will move my stash collecting euros to online stores abroad.

I'm irritated because I could have got those things faster ordering them from UK or USA, with same price or even cheaper. And I'm irritated that she hasn't answered to me yet, as normally she answers very quickly.

And I got email from Willow Fabrics yesterday. There has been some problem with my card when they've tried to process my order. It bothers me as there's money in my account and WF approves Electrons... Well, I'll know more when I get answer from my bank.

SEBE

I've officially finished my last SEBE bookmark, which is a bit funny as I'll get my partner's info appr. 10th of December (and deadline is 30th of January..). At least I don't need to worry about that anymore.

(Btw, I checked how much my LNS owner owes me: 29, 5 €. I think I wont order anything from her before I get my stuff. And I think I should send email for her as there's stuff I have ordered (and paid!) in summer and still haven't got them, nor heard anything about them...)

Names.

Sonnenschein gave me interesting link about names.

In fact interesting thing in it is that his name is in there, and what's accused meaning of his name... And what I heard about his parents it seems to me that they're one practical bunch. So, it's possible that we'll have fights about starting family of our own some day, just because Sonnenschein is so frigging practical.

Nice future... Ok, it's nice that he's practical (as I am not), but sometimes it just bothers me more than just a bit.

Though there's something positive. He wasn't as tired and stressed as he has been last days (he's helping his sister with her new apartment and moving (it seems to me that they have some moving spree... ) and he's been quite busy with it. (Got to like his love for his family - even it has it bad sides too. (Ref: problems with in-laws))), but today he was almost his normal self (though it wasn't that long conversation today..).

Self-esteem.

Could someone tell me why person who has good self-esteem seems to be problem to majority? Is there something wrong not be feel sorry about being alive or being me?

Yes, I think I'm close to perfection, or perfect, but it's so when it comes to me. I am perfect me. Person X is perfect oneself. It's not about being cocky or self-centered. In my eyes it's about being happy with yourself.
But in the end: why should I care? If person isn't curious enough to ask why I think like I think, why should I worry?

There's just one thing why it does matter: Humans are gregarious animals.
Problem is: most humans seem to be unable to live in herds. Those ones who claim that they're be social. As according to my experience most "asocial" persons are able to interact with others (for example ask questions and therefore have a meaningful conversation) and most "social" ones aren't.

Sounds bit contradictory, doesn't it?

Stash

I got parcel from my LNS. I've to say that I don't regret a bit that I spent almost 4 euros to one spool of floss.

... It's so shiny... my preciouss.....

Eh, where were I? Unfortunately other spool of those Rainbow Gallery's Petite Treasure Braids was out of stock so I've to wait for it. With some luck it gets here before I need it, but in case it doesn't I've some DMC's golden metallic which I can use (Though I think that RG's filament would be better as it's more flexible than DMC.).
In fact I should check some day what I haven't got from my LNS yet and make a list. Lately most things I've ordered have been out of stock... I order specialty items, but so?

Anyway, I'm ready for 'Topiary Sampler' SAL's lift-off in Friday. Got my linen, new gold plated needles and most of the flosses. I'm happy now - and broke.

Kitting SAL.

I kitted 'Topiary Sampler' and spent huge amounts (~30€ is quite much, at least for me) of money to my LNS (once again) because I lacked "few" items I need:

  • 28 count natural linen
  • 7 skeins of DMC stranded cotton
  • Gold-plated needles
  • 2x Rainbow Gallery's Petite Treasure Braid   (That is expensive stuff...)

And apparently I don't even need that much any of those...

Cunning plan and other things.

Well, my cunning plan worked and didn't work, but it seems that in the end it was at least relatively good plan. (OK, this was hilarious. Someone called [insert Sonnenschein's name here] just harrassed me. I was bit 'WTF?' for a second or two.)

In fact I slept only two hours last night because of him, and arguments we had yesterday. It seems that today I am at least able to sleep - which is great. As soon as I get tired.... though I should finish that first SEBE bookmark this night so I could post it and card for SECE later today.

Card making.

In fact I'm quite pleased how it turned out as I'm not very experienced. I found some hand-made paper I've done about 11 years ago and card 'base' , and it fitted perfectly to it.

Once again: it's hard to be this good. (And pics will follow later. It takes few days for them to arrive to their destinations.)

LNS.

You just got to love her service. She usually bills before sending items, but once again she offered to send bill with items I ordered (because it took 3 days before she processed my order...oy vey. ). It's nice to be trusted - and she has may have noticed that I do pay my orders fast.

There's nothing as important as stash growing.

Btw,

Laura from Passione Ricamo did something great. She republished 'Topiary Sampler' as a freebie and also 'Season Postcards' serie, which I missed when it was available for the first time.

Bookmarks

Haa, first BM is almost finished. I've now done all I can do before getting that filament. (Addition: LNS doesn't have it in stock, so it takes some time before they get it in stock again. I just hope it comes in time - otherwise I just have to stitch that snow without it.)

Good replacement for frenchie: Colonial knot. That is clear enough explanation even to my stupid brains.

And... I know what pattern I'll use to that spring bookmark. Ok, it has flowers in it, but... I've wanted to do it for some time - I just forgot that I've that pattern, and I've wanted to do it.

Activity levels.

I don't know why but I've been almost surprisingly industrious today. No sign of any kind of tiredness, even my brains are working almost well.
Don't know what causes it. Either it's autumn and darkness it has brought, or then it's that Hillel Tokazier's CD I've been listening half of the day.

DBF.

It wasn't long, but we had very interesting conversation once again. It's always nice to read things from between lines. It really seems that I'm some kind of winged, benevolent creature to him. (It has to do with my surname, nothing else can explain it... "--- a beautiful and benevolent supernatural being or fairy ---")

...maybe we're just angels to eachothers, and demons to everyone else?

Signs of lunacy.

It's 1:40 (EEST) and I'm stitching a bookmark to forthcoming Short Extended Bookmark Exchange (Once again at EMS Cross Stitch Board.). This one's easy as there are themes and no user preferences.

I'm working on winter one now, and will do autumn themed when I get my goodies from my LNS. In fact I can't even finish that winter one (even it's almost done already) before I get that blending filament I ordered.
It seems that only tricky one will be spring themed, as I don't want to walk that easy way and stitch flowers. Fortunately it's last one and due in end of January so I've time.

Bad me.

I just came back from online shopping spree...

Now I just have to justify it to myself... ok, I have justified it: I participated one more exchange so I do need more stuff, and ornament exchange is just behind the corner. I bought a little ornament kit, I just have to hope that it gets here in time. Otherwise I've to modify my ornie exchange plans.

But, ah, it was great.

...most people in here get drunk in Friday night. I grow my stash...

But what can I do? I have nothing else to do than stitch and idle as long as Sonneschein is 3000 kms from me. (Excuses, excuses, but what about it?)

Nationality.

For some reason it feels sometimes that people don't identify me as Finnish. Not even Finns themselves. I really would like to know why it's so?

It's possible that I just don't look like very stereotypic, even I am very stereotypic: blonde with blue eyes. I just dye my hair, because in my opinion my genes have done minor mistake when deciding my hair colour.

In fact I asked about that from Sonnenschein when I took my latest pic and (even) he said that I don't look exactly Finnish. And that was not the first time... Maybe this proves something about my roots.

But still there's one question: why don't they even indetify me as a Finn even when they don't know how I look? When they only see my location. Is my English too good? (I really don't believe it's so.) Am I too... something?

I hate this feeling of not belonging to anywhere.

Thingies.

Sonnenschein is (/seems to be) back to normal, which is great. We talked quite much today, which is good also.

And he referred sligthly to his life in here... first time in days.

Exchanges.

Got my Fall Secret Pal info yesterday and already shopped online 'til I dropped. (Now I'm poor as rat, but who cares.)

I'm also doing little something for my SP. I just have to see how it turns out. If it'll be catastrophy I wont send it - "surprisingly". Otherwise it should be something she could even like.
IMO it's more like a gift, as it's ment to be in a way, when there's something hand-made in it.

Blog.

I've lurkers. Which means that some people actually read my blog. (And some actually visit my home page (I have my little elf who tells me that...).)

Apparently this isn't even that dull as I have always thought. Which is nice.

Why is it so?

Because it means that my life isn't as boring as I sometimes doubt it may seem to be, and my thoughts aren't that odd to majority as I think - or maybe only minorities read this..?

My dear readers, you can also comment entries if you want to.

Sis.

She's moving together with her bf -after two months of dating. They're so cute.

And I'm glad that her life seems to get better, at least in this important area.
