• Stitched on 32 count Lugana (some Silkweaver's Limited Edition, don't know actual name of the colour, but think of 'light' chocolate ice cream)
• Two over two; with DMC
• Substituted pearl BF with white BF

As you notice I decided to ditch borders.

And now I think I'll stitch all lacking parts of MSAL... I'm so behind!
Then it'll be Jaffa and latest SAL design, by Kristine Herber, from Dragonfly Stitches Yahoo group in a mini rotation (just because I stitch Jaffa on black and my eyes need to rest sometimes).

(Btw, I had this odd feeling yesterday that it's 10th of May even I knew it wasn't... and I don't know why my brains are suddenly so obsessed with that date.)

I'm not sure do I want to make those borders or not, so I'll let long, tall Sally rest for a while, and when I've decided I'll continue with it.

It'd look good as it is - with backstitching, of course - if you ask from me. Though I'm not quite sure.

One thing is sure: one convert, one new Wenztlerist. I love these!

That's about it. This mean migraine attacked on me last night (those ones which come in about five seconds) and even I'm alive again I'm not very blabbery.
And anyway, I've nothing to blog about - except Saliant. (If we don't count that fact that I really doubt that my body works like it should work. 14 days since my cycle begun... and my right ovary has been bit sore...)

Stitch-A-Thon; The Beginning

It's third weekend of this month and time for monthly Stitch-A-Thon at Friends Gather BB.
I decided to combine this month's BYSH and SAT by stitching Saliant. This is what it looked like when I started:

My goal is to finish dragon during the weekend (though I need to decide is weekend from Friday to Sunday or from Friday to Monday ), and if I manage to finish borders I'm very pleased with myself.

Saliant is so fast to stitch! I've been vegetating, reading, doing household chores, growing one person's phone bill excessively (I'm expensive hobby - and my throat is killing me. Either for excessive talking or because I have forgot how to speak English without straining my vocal chords) and stitched only a short while and I've got this far

Legs and part of Saliant's tail (excuse that blurriness/ darkness). Ah, I see happy dance during this month.

Christine, I'm in love with this one already!
Why, oh why haven't I stitched this before? (Though I know why: I thought it's difficult because it's gorgeous... since when this has been difficult? But then... haven't got into blending yet.)

And back to business

After threatening Christine with a whip - and I thought it was well hidden behind my back - she was nice enough to reveal April's Broaden Your Stitching Horizon theme, which is... Fantasy!
So, I've been browsing trough my freebies (I prefer to waste my money on floss and fabrics at this moment ) and I think it'll be Dragon Saliant

Bold, strong thing, and I like it. Maybe I've to do this as a reminder: Keep your head up high, it's only life. (And it'll be my first Wentzler.)

And while browsing around I think I found my 24 hour challenge piece too. Not any of the Christmyths, but from Dragon Dreams anyway: Dragon of Hope (it's just so... I don't know. I'm sucker for hope.), or The Dragon of Water (just because I happen to be water sign (Don't know where that came, but well... in that day when I get myself completely I'm ready to die - it's going to be long life for me )).

Without any further talking, let me introduce you Spring Surprise from Mosey'n'Me

This is really something out of my genre, but... darned, I like this little fellow! Cute little bunny, isn't it?

I'm planning to finish it as a needlebook, but I've to see do I've suitable fabric in my small stash. And I need to buy some felt...

Anyway, this was really broadening my horizon, and it was successful even though I had minor problems with that carrot. Just because it's a huge block of colour - fortunately I was wise enough to stitch it with GASTs. It'd have been dreadful project with regular cotton.

Little wonders and wonderings

chanda_m and rosabjarna left me speechless, so I'll get into other things right away...

I think I said in January that this will be wonderful year if I interpret signs correctly. I still think so. Even more than I thought in 1st of January.

This is first spring in years when I haven't had any migraines even sun has shone brightly almost daily. I'm not sure what is actual reason for it, but I doubt that taking huge (well, huge and huge...) dose of vitamins every day (anyway, in my case I've to because of my limited diet).
I used to think that I can't do monotonous work (because I'd get bored) or normal hours (as I thought it'd be too exhausting for me (mentally) )... and today I realized that it's not so. I can even enjoy that monotonous job I get pay from just because I've learned to find pleasure from little things - and having odd work hours help (7-15, so when I get home it's almost like having day off).

And I've surprised myself: I love my singledom.
I don't deny that it wouldn't be great to have someone in my life, as sometimes your cells just need to be touched, and it'd be great to wake up next to someone who's really into me as a person (ok, I could continue with this list quite long)... But then I'm over that phase when I needed a relationship not to be alone. I'm not sure have I ever had such a phase though.

In fact I've been cursing few things lately... It's really annoying to be intelligent, analytic woman with cute face as when ever males see your picture you lose about 50 IQ points in their eyes - and that happens to them too, apparently. Yes, I'm making generalization now. I know all males aren't like that.
And what's that thing of calling every female girl? Why in Earth people have to refer to one's sex in general when it's not really necessary?! Does your sex tell everything about you?
Being female is great, but I hate to be treated Z just because I'm X. And anyway, I'm androgyne by gender, damnit.
Would it be so difficult to take people as human beings, as persons, individuals etc. and forget those completely unimportant things like one's sex? (One of these days when I don't wonder why people often assume that I'm bi - or anything else than straight (which I'm not if we interpret gender wise - androgyne can never be completely hetero-/ bi-/ homosexual because of one's lack of having traditional bipartite gender experience).)

Off from my soap box for now (and into bed. Having hot date with Mr. Sandman. ). I just happen to love preaching.

Spring Surprise

I'm still fighting with this one. I've always been slow when stitching huge blocks of colour and it seems to be the thing with our little bunny too...

I'd say it's about half done.

Well...

I've done few stitches today. Haven't I been productive?

Anyway, decided that I'll broaden my stitching horizon with Mosey 'n Me's Spring Surprise.
As this pattern has no designed colours in it I decided to use suitable flosses from GAST Loose Threads bag I purchased some time ago from Silkweaver. Fabric I use is some odd piece of 32 count natural linen.

I've also made few stitches on my exchange needleroll, not today though, so I haven't been completely stitch-free last days - I admit to have some post Olympic exhaustion.

But I see no pictures before Monday, or Sunday evening, as there's housewarmings to attend to tomorrow.
