Long time, no see
But I talked to Someone Very Dear about my blogging recently and he wondered why I have ceased to do it because I was good at it... Back in the day when we got acquainted. 12 years ago.
No, there's no Mr. Right Now.
Someone Very Dear to me is that missing piece of my soul, Mr. Wolf from aeons ago.
It's funny really. It has been years since last time and when we talk (well, type) it's like those years never existed. I never get that with people. Never. Time gets between me and my ability to act normally. Usually.
Which probably has something to do with the fact that I may have inattentive ADHD and it causes me to have problems with social interaction. among other things (like life). It's not official, but it would explain a lot (a WHOLE lot). and preliminary testing points heavily to that direction. It would also explain why Tiny has ADHD too (and vice versa). This is recent addition from this summer, but it was not a surprise to anyone who is in contact with him. And hopefully there will be medication trial this year as Tiny goes to preschool (today!) and needs to amp up his concentration.
Maybe I am back, who knows. Let's see.

And Now For Something Completely Different...
The time seemed right and I wanted better functionality with no cost (I know, I am cheap) even though I am not sure does anyone blog anymore. :P
So, dysfunctional links and images that are nowhere to be seen, but I feel good now.
For new beginnings!

Change is good every now and then
The old title of my blog had been bothering me quite a while, but I just couldn't figure out anything positive, yet sarcastic... so, I turned to my idol Hyacinth Bucket (it's pronounced Bouquet).
Maybe should call Tiny Sheridan from now on? *grin*

Boy's blog name
It dawned on me when I was in the bus talking to this old lady who said how big Boy is and I told her how little he was when he was born...
All big men in movies are called Tiny, aren't they, and as my tiny little guy is already wearing one year old's clothes (he'll be six months within 1½ weeks) and is bigger than average baby of his age it would suit him well.
And he'll always be my tiny little guy, no matter if he grows up to be 2 meters and 120 kilos of pure muscle (my metrically challenged readers should visit here) as it seems.
And Tiny has more ooompah in it than just Boy, doesn't it?

Blog Secrecy Act I
...it happens that I got to hear that some diwmit lacked common courtesy in such measures that certain people connected to my life had been told about basically everything I had been blabbering about at Facebook.
This person never made any indications that one knows people I know and apparently this person's sole fun was to hunt down my life... based on things I heard.
It makes me sick to even think of that. It makes me sick to think that someone has such devious mind that they get kicks out of my ultimately dull life and find it worth to be blabbed about. It makes me sick that some people have no guts to tell that someone that they are a guttless dimwit for doing so. And it makes me sick that some people really just are THAT stupid.
Anyway, this all lead me to be WAY more cautious at FB and hide certain blog posts and when I blog about certain things it'll be friends-only from now on.
Stash Stash Stash
As I am still lacking of actual stitching content it's time for another unblogged stash addition: more goodies from 1-2-3 Stitch! (We all love our stash anyway, don't we?)
I just see myself using that linen band for some ornaments... little this and that here and there and it will look fab!
When it comes to blog related stuff... there are certain things I won't post to public anymore for reasons disclosed some of these days in a friends-only post, so if you want to keep in touch with everything that is going with my life you will need a LJ username and get on my LJ friends list. (Of course I need to kno who you actually are too. Demanding, aren't I?)
Not that there are that many of those coming or already protected, but still. And you can never have too many usernames in various places, can you? *grin*

Pretty stash pictures!
Also got some yummy floss just to... erm... justify the postages. As usual.
Admittedly that Lizzie*Kate is a new design, but when I saw it for the first time I knew I just had to get it and stitch it as a reminder.
It was actually partial reason for those DMCs as I love that purple-red combo of theirs and "Forgive Quickly" would look simply awesome stitched with it. On natural linen, /me thinks.
Yes, I love natural linen still. Nothing has changed: vivid reds and natural linen still rock my world.

Ooh!
Found this from strangeglitter's blog and I have to say that I would have never thought that I'd get this result. O.o

Stitchy Giveaway: And We Have A Winner!
I am SO sorry it took this long, but work has been crazy (rather it takes time for me to get used to working until 23:15 - and be at home around 1 am) and I have lacked energy big time (and I actually am dead certain that I do suffer of hypothyroidism after all, but that's for a later rant).
And the lucky winner is.... Maestro, drumroll please...
Lady Fortuna draw the winning comment and it is entry numer one
which means that Jenna was out lucky winner!
Congratulations Jenna, I hope the email has already arrived and you enjoy your newly acquired design stash (needleroll, biscornu, fob and pincushion).
And now it's laundry time. Then some stitching (mom's Valentine's Day gift (which is going to be gorgeous) - by the way, we have our 18 month anniversary then ) and enjoying time off.

Writer's Block: A Rose by Any Other Name...aka. "Because I am tired, bored, tired and avoiding sleep
Story yes, interesting, I doubt.
Sonnenschein used to call me Snow Queen when we met - when I was still, erm, officially, happily, married.
But when I was thinking of my LJ user name it was taken so I twisted it a bit. This is why I'm something as girly as snowprincipessa. (There were thousands of reasons why I ended that marriage, but I have to admit that one of the things pushing me off of that cliff was Mr. S. - I think that I never told that to him. All the things you remember years later.)
If I were to choose my name now I think I would be highly inclined to consider Anyamene, just because I am huge name geek and love affects to my life deeply. Not to mention that meaning of name bears huge importance for me, and I like the sound of Anyamene.
(P.S. I haven't forgot, it's just insane week at work and my brains have turned to mush. Thank G-d I'm off coming Sunday...)

1998: Giveaway reminder, Very Good Things and stuff
First I would like to remind all my stitchy friends about the AMAZING giveaway here at my little blog.
Very Good Things
As some of you may have noticed I have been celebrating certain event in near future at Facebook and also in form of a little ticker on top of my blog...
We found a way to get reasonably priced tickets for Mr. Wonderful (as for some funny reason tickets are cheaper when purchased from here - of course purchasing them online always helps) and... He is coming home for the holidays!
Though the bad news is that he has to return Spain in January to wait for The Papers. Gah. And from there He travels to Nigeria for a while, luckily His brother arranges the tickets for Him.
Which is good news, and in the end we pay for all the plane tickets (Spain-Finland-Spain, Spain-Nigeria-Spain) 80€ which is very good news. (Rough estimation of the whole cost, had we paid them ourselves, is appr. 1100€ ($1,621)...)
Knowing that He is coming home has made me go ga-ga. Had I the money I would redecorate whole apartment for holidays, but I guess it's lucky that I don't have the money, so I have just bought little things... like gorgeous satin bedsheets.
But I am waiting to cook Him all the Finnish Yule specialties and I guess we will have more food than we need when I am done.
Dear Santa
I have been a good girl (ermm... well, relatively) and all I want for Yule is my Wonderful and this:All I can say is:
I got curious and just checked that the design, accessory pack and postages would be only 45.5€! I may be tempted... even more if I get more money on 15th than I anticipated (I will get rest of my holiday pay (actually rest of the payment for returning from your yearly holiday - funny term, and thought) in addition to my wage) - but that would mean getting 1300€ (because there are bills to pay and stuff) and I really don't think it will happen (I am paid twice a month, which makes it highly unlikely to get such sum after taxes even though I get rest of my holiday pay).
Spain is not all THAT bad
After everything nasty I may have said or thought about Spanish system I wish to voice out that there is at least one good thing in there (in addition to my Wonderful): money transfers through bank from .es to .fi are much faster than from .fi to .es - though it is also more expensive in there.
Basically money transfers within EU should cost only as much as they would cost within the country of origin because, like people and things, money should be able to move freely within Union area. BUT when I make EU transfer at bank counter it is 30 cents and when the same thing is done in Spain it's 3 € - admittedly it is also faster, though I was just thinking that transfers to Spain may take three days (instead of appr. 1 from there to here) because Spanish banks want to make money with the interest as it is stated that EU transfers can, but should not exceed (otherwise one is applicable for some kind of refund, afaik), take as long as three days.
Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that local banks wouldn't do the same thing, but obviously they like to play that trick with local transfers: I noticed one day that even my pay came ~00:45 and all the bills which were due that day were taken from my account, but still showed in my "Confirmed Future Payments" until 8 am when bank day started.
And transfers between banks (companies, not locations) take 1-2 days even though the payments could be made instantly with modern technology.
But then, I don't pay much service fees so I don't mind that too much. As long as I get my money.
But, now I have to head to get our satin sheets from the post office. See you later. ^^

I thank those of you who voted and now... it's time to announce a giveaway to celebrate snowprincipessa's 2000th entry!
There is one set of unpublished needleroll and biscornu design by Lady Periphaeria up for grabs. I will keep you in suspense, being the evil person I am, but if you love summer, sun, dragonflies and bees you will love them!
Here is a colour swatch for you....
The spiel is simple: there is one (1) lucky winner (unless I decide to be nice *evil grin*) and all the comments with email address (as I will email the designs) posted to this entry in this particular blog (not to the feeded entry in Facebook)before my 2000th entry apply.
Posters of published comments agree to respect my copyrights of the objects given in this giveaway and will not copy or share the designs involved by any means (except by stitching, of course! ).
So, what are you waiting for? Comment with your email address and you may be the lucky winner! Feel free to also tell about this to your friends!
And now I am off to eat and then trying to finish my mother's holiday gift (which will be a complimentary design, btw.)

1991: Polls
My dear little blog will soon receive its 2000th entry (I really must love the sound of my own voice *grin*).

- Yet unpublished needlework smalls design designed by my dear alter ego, Lady Periphaeria for the lucky winner(s?) of the giveaway drawing.
- Stitched item: my design.
- Stitched item: generic design.
- Small stitchy goodie bag.
- Something else stitchy, please elaborate.
Answers to the comment section, thank you. ^^

Winds of change
I have been thinking of changing the colour scheme of my blog again (it has been quite a while since I did it last), but I can't come up with any good ideas...
Or maybe I change the theme altogether (I just need to take a copy of all the sidebar stuff) as since the last makeover life has changed more than I could have imagined (or than most of my regular readers (in case I still have any, I don't know, it has been quiet here) can imagine) - even though Mr. Wonderful was already in my life when I changed the colours.
(Life happens, and I am annoyingly secretive, yes?
Talking of life happening I could say that time has been running like a sprinter: next Friday is our first official anniversary (our six month anniversary was on Valentine's Day) even it feels that August 2008 was ony yesterday, or last week.
Anyway, blog colour scheme etc. suggestions are welcomed.

Life, blog, Mr. Wonderful and everything
As you know, I like to change the colour scheme of my blog and as you may have noticed by now I did it again.
This time the colours are picked from my current default avatar which I found somewhere from the 'net while I was looking for angel avatars.
"Why angels?" you may ask. The reason is simple: Mr. Wonderful calls me Angel, has called me almost since we met (last month), that is even before we met in real life (what surprises me is that he still thinks so *grin*).
Yes, you calculated correctly, we had knew exactly one month in the day when he arrived. That means that he booked the ticket about 1½ weeks after we got to know each other.
Though it seems to me that we are kind of fast in everything: we started to think about who relocates and where when he was here - and we have continued that discussion during this week. We have even had a business plan conversation as if he moves here starting a business is his best bet to find employment (1. he doesn't speak Finnish, yet, and 2. Finnish employers are known to have certain prejudice towards people of non-Caucasian heritage) for himself.
Life has been kind of slow since he left, and I realized today that it has been only 1½ weeks even for me it feels like three months already.
I wish he was here, and so does he, so life is good. ^^
And I am still waiting to hear from the company. The agency has sent my info to them last week, but they haven't heard anything either.
But, we signed contract in Friday so I can do some emergency jobs for them. Nevertheless, I need to apply for welfare again because of the company as I won't get paid before end of this month in any case.
This is very annoying situation to put it midly.

The gazillionth entry for today
Why I don't like sertraline?
- I have really odd dreams.
- I remember tiniest things from years ago, things that I could have as well forgot as they are SO minor.
- I have annoying case of dyslexia. I can't type or read right as well as I could without it. And my ability to write anything even seemingly coherent has gone out of the window.
- I don't have the usual "edge" in my mind. (I.e. my mind has odd "blunt" spots.)
- I think my social phobias are getting worse.
- I have come to understand why SSRIs increase your risk to commit suicide: I feel lot worse mentally than I did before the medication. Admittedly it can be that the pre-medication exhaustion hid it. I foresee longer sick leave. *sigh*
- I have actually done laundry AND huge load of dishes today AND finished one biscornu, which is more than I have done last two, no wait... three, weeks... O_o
- In their way odd dreams are fun: and who wouldn't like to wake up thinking how stupid idea the shutter on the door was in the Dawn of the Dead (you know, that scene where they send the dog to get some food for the gun shop guy and zombies get to him through the shutter when he lets the dog in).
- I may be getting into a manic phase, which would be great thing regarding undone and piled household chores. (Yes, short mania phase would be nice. I am odd, I know. *grin*)
And oh, now I remember what I have missed! My FOURTH blogoversary was in Thursday! Happy birthday little blog!

In need of hosting? Want some time for free?
In case you do and want, Servage, my beloved host, has this offer... if you use coupon code cust35125 you get two months worth of free hosting and extra 25 GB of disk space and.. give the same set for me for free! Here's great chance to make me adore you!
Anyway
Facts of life: Human beings are wonderful in their way to purposely misinterpret what other people write. (Though I take latest one also as a sign...)
Maybe changing my blog's subtitle from "I went out of my mind and threw the key away..." to "Life would be easier if it was simple" was an omen.
Thursday, 12 July 2007
As you may have noticed, my blog changed its colours. It has been a while since it was this black last time, but fact is that I'm not mood for a soothing colour scheme at the moment. (Maybe it also reflects the colour scheme of those complimentary designs I have been playing with past couple of days as there's lot of black, orange, purple and reds.)
Anyway...
My past seems to have a haunting phase.
In addition to everything else I heard from SIL that certain mr. Tree (that has nothing to do with his surname actually) had asked about me... Let's see, it has been over ten years since we had anything at all (oh, good old days with one nighters) and we never were we because he was (surprise, surprise) lost with himself.
So, what's next?

Ye shall not read CraftGossip... I want this even I am not very Halloweeny person (nor much of a fan of that style). That just, you know, rocks.
Blog ponderings
The thought of moving my blog on Wordpress base came out from its hiding place again, while looking for templates for Periphaeria's blog.
And at this point I even have a hosted domain... it would be matter of only installing another WP. The negative side of it is that I would lose all the comments (and apparently tags too) even I could import the posts...
Weight gain
Last months my weight has been slowly increasing without any significant changes in my diet. I found out why: it's my allergy medicine's less known side effect! Said antihistamine causes weight gain which probably means that it messes my insulin levels... it boggles your mind, but at least now I know what to say to my doctor. I rather take cetiritzine as it's better for my metabolism, even if it isn't as modern version as levocetirizine.
To make it fun, levocetirizine also causes... shortness of breath. (I still have it, though I feel better now.)
And how do I know that Xyxal is the one to blame? I have been taking other antihistamine about a week now (because I lost the prescription and ran out of Xyzal). During this time my weight has come down almost five kilos, without any diet changes.

And there was much rejoicing!
Welcome back eLJay, I missed you!
