The reason for this order was the fabric for the Monopoly SAL.

But, when I went through the order I noticed that the count is wrong as I had ordered 32 count and not 28 count, and after I had confirmed it with a ruler, I took a picture of both of the fabric and the receipt and emailed 1-2-3 Stitch!... Two hours later they emailed me and promised to send the correct fabric, which is the same colour, but in 32 count.
This means that I got 27'' x 36'' cut of 28 count Star Sapphire Jobelan for free.

That's what I call customer service.

Anti-recommendation

Never ever buy Deltaco's NBCL-1 Notebook Cooler Pad. It will be the stupidest way to burn your money.

I bought the first one about ten months ago and the second one I got when the first broke down is soon unusable because the fans have begun to screech.

Round Happy Dance #34, stash and plans

But as it is a freebie for Periphaeria Designs' next launch I won't share a picture of it before 1st of September - and anyway it lacks finishing (which I'm intending to do during the evening, but noticing how zombified I have been today I'm not sure can I do it).

Stash!

I received the Blackwork Fruit Bellpull in the mail today and I have to say that it was really worth the about 11 euros I paid for it. I love it how it looks as a chart and the fact that the chart has big enough symbols to read without a magnifier - actually I could read it from other side of my bedroom without any problems *grin* - is a big plus.
I have been thinking that this design would probably look fabulous on black evenweave with golden (or metallic burgundy) blackwork. I know, that metallic part sounds insane, but it would look fabulous nevertheless.

And I can recommend doing business with Pam: she's very nice and answers to stupid questions of a new Etsy user patiently. And she ships fast. ^^

Career plans

One of the options I have came up with since the course started is an apprenticeship.
I would be a part-time student and I would study during my work hours (in sense of getting paid full wage for studying). From what I know I should be get the minimum wage, which is in this particular career ~1500 €/ month (and with some luck my employer could have some financial support from the government for my wage due my health and employement issues). After taxes and living expenses I would still have about 700 euros/ month (which is twice as much I have at the moment) for food, cats, clothes, stash and... I could finally pay my debts and therefore be debt free (and have almost three years worth of experience) when I'd get my degree. (I'd be approximately 32 when graduating and if I wish I could continue on higher level degree in the evenings.)

But, I have found out that I am afraid of commitment. It would take only three years, but I'm having all kinds of worst case scenarios... even though I know that this would be absolutely the best choice for me (I could study and live without working after the regular hours).
We will have a lecturer from local Apprenticeship Office in the end of September and I think I will have a little chat with her.
In the end I will grab this chance if I just can. (The issue is to find the work place.)

"Your installation was a success"

No, I did not reinstall myself, but XP - finally and have spent last two hours by downloading updates from M$, drivers from HP and all the softwares I need.
And I found accidentally better FTP client than my previous one was (and this one is freeware (SmartFTP works after trial period, but doesn't start every time) - though I am already considering a minor donation for the programmer as this is great!): FireFTP. (It has cute icon too. ^^)

Clean, simple, free and works in a browser... what else you need?

Let me recommend something: Bugotak - Maadai-Kara (Mission Impossible). I heard this while listening Last.FM's global tag radio (Asian being the specific tag).

I have done something o_O

As I went to my mother's place yesterday and stayed there overnight I didn't stitch Futurecast. I kitted one of my own designs to take with me, and stitched half of it yesterday while watching Bond and yapping with my mother.
Half, as this is designed to be a scissor fob, and therefore there'll be two identical sides, but as I chose fabric with as low count as 28 I'll end up finishing this as an ornament.

Stash!

And when I came home... Quaker Gameboard was waiting for me in my mail box! To make it even better Jayne had added two skeins of Carrie's Creations over-dyeds (Elephant Grey and Cobalt Blue - I see both in some of my biscornus...) to accompany my chart.

On biscorni

I think I have found almost perfect fabric for (normal sized - stiffer evenweaves seem to work well with miniature ones) biscornu making: Meran.
I have made two biscornus on it (SAL and Kokopelli) and they are my best ones to date because the fabric is soft and yields very easily. Add stitching with Piecemaker needles (kindly enabled recommended by Linda)... It's pure love.

Goal for today

..is finishing one of my secret projects, so off I go to grocery store and then it's all stitching!

Before I forget... finished Woodland Snowfall:

I had a reason to stitch it... it was a supposed to be a replacement ornament sent to one participant in ornament exchange at EMS, and I did sent it to Singapore... She just happened to receive both original and mine approximately at the same time (which was few days ago, hence the picture).
(Piece of unnecessary information... I Googled Woodland Snowfall and guess whose blog was fourth hit? *grin* "Look Mommy, I'm in the internet.")

Birthday fairy made an order from Casa Cenina... (though I excused some things for myself too, and got one of the beads for Seasonal Dragons (they were discounted)!)

I've to say that they've excellent customer service. I wanted to pay my order with European Bank Transfer instead of credit card as in my case it was faster (it takes at least three days to get credits loaded) and there aren't any transaction fees when it's interunion transfer. They replied to all my stupid questions within hours and were very willing to serve.
Now order is processed, as they've received my payment, and mailed out. Wonderful! I'll recommend them (even they're not the cheapest one with everything they have great selection, and I'm willing to pay for service).
