Casual business

That's The Dresscode at the $COMPANY, which has also meant that I have only one pair of suitable trousers (as jeans don't apply) which equals laundering all the time... but today I decided to let the Heck break loose and do something I hate: shop for clothes.

First store, a chain where I usually can find suitable clothes was disappointment, to put it mildly, as they seem to think that women with bigger hip size than 44 do not need clothes (ref: clothing sizes@Wikipedia). I was getting panicky as clock was ticking and I needed to be on my Hebrew class soon, but I also needed new trousers...

Then I remembered that one chain used to have a collection for curvaceous women, and there I went... five minutes later I had found black, straight-legged pants and black pullower with white fake collar and cuffs (you know those shirts which look like you had collared shirt underneath even you don't?) - which weren't too expensive (though for me 60€ is a lot) and look friggin' good on me.

I'm dead tired, having a migraine and I know that I still need to adjust the leg height of the trousers when they are washed and dry - which means that I won't get to bed before midnight - but I am rather pleased. I could almost get to enjoy shopping for clothes... I used to when I was studying, and interestingly enough I used the $CHAIN even then... they had the best underwear I have ever used (I think that I still have one pair of knickers from those times - I graduated almost ten years ago).

Now I only need to find some shoe store which sells good looking, affordable shoes in my size and I am happy (I want boots with heels! ).

Now it's official, I have lost my mind!

Some of you may have noticed that I am rather fond of black... and black has been the dominating colour in my wardrobe last decade or so.
Now, what makes me state that I have lost my mind is that among the clothes I have bought wthin last three days there has been fuchsia coloured pullover (you all know how much I, erm, "love" anything related to pink - which makes me an obvious nut case (add two pairs of pink bras to this...)), red top, graphite grey trousers, olive green jacket and, shock and awe, regular blue jeans. (No fear, I have bought some black clothes too. *grin*)
  1. I don't like pinkish shades, as I have mentioned few thousand times.
  2. I don't like blue, even less in clothes.
  3. I haven't actually owned jeans in last two decades, because "they are not my style".
  4. I don't like grey clothes.
  5. I don't like olive green in clothing (otherwise it's one of those few shades of green I like - maybe because I love olives).
I bought 1. and 5. with black dye bath in mind, but I am not sure about the 1., because, you know, it's kind of energetic colour - and because the shirt has rather giving neckline and it is soft it's rather complimenting for certain parts of my body and the colour just enhances the effect... (Shallow, me? Never...)

Where all this colour is coming from?!

...begin to think of it... I have spent only about 130 € (altogether) on clothes during my last two shopping sprees and got loads of stuff... I think I love sales.

But, back to watch Blade (DVDs bought in last three days: ten, money spent on them (altogether):~40 € = I do love sales) and then to bed in hopes of having nightmares of the interview tomorrow as that has always been the sign that I get the job. *grin*

Knitty things

I bought my first knitting pattern online: Scarlet Woman Sleeveless Tank.
It was way too gorgeous to miss, and what's best, it has sizes to 54'' which is nice for someone whose bust is *cough* ~50''.

And when it comes to knitting how about some pumpkins? Cute, don't you think?

Confessions of a bibliophile

You just got to love Finnish library system. After I checked my emails in library I happened to pass their books for sale stall (selling old and/or non-interesting (for general public) books is habit in local libraries, and sometimes you can find really good deals as they usually ask tops 1€ per book) and found two books (Spies by Michael Frayn and Half Broken Things by Morag Joss) in whopping price of 0.2€ per piece.
So, two new old books (they're barely opened deducing from their appearance) for me and 0.4€ to local library. I think I'm on the winning side in this deal.

Btw, I seem to get perverted pleasure from 'jumping' on the yard in my favourite skimpish (few cms above knees, quite giving collar and nice cut) home dress. (This makes my life much cooler so I'm just victim of weather and not having an air conditioning.)
I foresee angry glances from local female population as male population seems to like it...

Good hair day, BS and whining.

First day in this week I've good hair day, and apparently I've to thank my new shampoo. It seems to me that it's not only my skin which dislikes central heating, my hair tends to dry also during winter - at least nowadays.
I ordered moisturizing shampoo when I made that cosmetics order few days back and that parcel arrived yesterday - think about that: I placed an order in Tuesday evening and goodies were behind my door ~11:30 in Thursday morning (not to mention that postages were 0€ and it included home-delivery).
In fact I've also good face day, don't know why though as I've been bit blue lately. (Worrying about things I can't affect in any way; sucks to be me.) Anyway, while putting my war paint (or make-up, what ever) on I realized something. It's bit hilarious that for someone as blonde/ pale as I am carmine red lip gloss is not too dark (as I feared). In fact it's exactly same shade as my own natural colour is. Now I understand why people sometimes have difficulties to believe that I don't use lipstick.

And as I'm talking about look related things I add few words about colours and their affect... Black (more like anti-colour) seems to be something I need to stay sane. And preferably very much of it. Few days ago I tested and wore completely normal colours, dark beige+ burgundy, and felt bit odd whole day. After it I've used mostly black and felt much better.
Today... dark beige corduroys and I've no problems using them, but I've black shirt.
Anyway, it's quite interesting how some colour just seems to be so deep in my personality that I feel incomplete without it.

LNS and general stash shopping.

I emailed my LNS owner yesterday with specification of those items I haven't received from her. There's one chart I've ordered about six months ago and still haven't got it... Most of them have been ordered over two months ago and I haven't heard from them since (my euros were nice anyway).... I've decided not to order anything from her for some time, and not before I get everything I've paid for. And it's very possible that I will move my stash collecting euros to online stores abroad.

I'm irritated because I could have got those things faster ordering them from UK or USA, with same price or even cheaper. And I'm irritated that she hasn't answered to me yet, as normally she answers very quickly.

And I got email from Willow Fabrics yesterday. There has been some problem with my card when they've tried to process my order. It bothers me as there's money in my account and WF approves Electrons... Well, I'll know more when I get answer from my bank.

Unbelievable.

Beware, vogons are coming tomorrow... all those clothes I ordered few days back fit. With my body shape it's odd, so I'm sure that end of the world will come soon.
It has to as even both bras are just right size (usually problem is that cup sizes are smaller than they should be) and they do really support my breasts (which is kind of a miracle with these genes...)...

Not to mention that those were reasonable priced. Though I'm not complaining. But you just get to used to certain things when your body never fits to any stereotypes.
Anyway, I prefer to have decent hip even it means having problems with finding suitable clothes.

\o/

1st of all: my periods seem to be here and therefore my cycle has been 'only' 44 days.

Then I spent 73 euros for clothes. I just hope they fit as I ordered them online (I hate to go to shopping, so online shopping is my way), though the problem is mostly that my body is 'too feminine' for designers of these days. It's quite much for a person with my financial status, but on the other hand I got them quite cheap (2x pants, 2x bras and shirt) - and I really need new clothes. I'm just bit pissed because I didn't have enough money to buy new shoes.

Well, maybe in next month.
