Less progress than I anticipated, but on the other hand I missed most of Friday because my ovaries tried to explode out of me and also because I am addicted to World of Blood RPGs at Facebook. The next project on my list, for today, is sympathy ornament for a friend who has suffered a great loss recently.
The colours remind me of Mexico, for some odd reason.
At first I wasn't quite sure do I like the floss choice, but now that the first part is stitched I am very pleased with my choice. It's good in many ways, one of them being having two completely different colour schemes of the same design.
And... I managed to add some stitches to Loy Krathong after several months!
This is how it looked when I started, this is how it looks now:
Crotty bloomed last two weeks and the flowers looked really good this time - the first edition was a bit lame compared to this one. (The picture is from the beginning of the blossoming phase.)
I am not blossoming and I really hope the friggin' medication doesn't worsen my asthma permanently. If this bronchospam stays for few days the medicine has to be changed... I am not going to use bronchodilator daily as my asthma was behaving beautifully before sertralin.
On the good side I slept only 7 hours last night and I feel like stitching! (Yeah, I know. It should not affect yet - but it does.)
Yes, I have a headache after that. And I should call to my employement councellor to cancel the appointment tomorrow - I am on sick leave for fatigue, she can't demand that I get there. I am just avoiding to call, I don't enjoy phone calls with the lady...
) and the other half nodding, but at least I got something done.
Terri's ornament is actually completely stitched, but just in case she follows my blog I give only a sneak peek.

to finish the piece I am working on now (it’s about 15% done) and at least two other tiles (i.e. one full biscornu - I always stitch the tiles twice for them) during this SATI didn't quite make my goal, but I stitched remaining 90% of the first tile... (which means that I had a happy dance)

Only slice pictures as these are both unpublished models and the other is an exchange item on top of it, so secrets have to be kept.
I only stitched this in Sunday, because I used Saturday to trim and grid the fabric by hand, before I had to call it quits because my muscles and joints began to ache too much to be allowed.
I won’t stitch Loy Krathong this month (*sigh*), but I will start Flashes of Gold, which is my RR piece at Solarium Sublime’s Virtual RR#1 - and I will be SATting with it because my start is well overdue.And now, I'm off to pack my stuff. Until next time... be good.

My goal is to stitch half of the first section (cunningly numbered 1.).I am planning to get back to Loy In January, but who knows… I have models to be stitched so there may be more delay.
Those white areas look SO odd without backstitching, but I am quite sure they will fade away when the backstitching is added - though if this hadn't been a RR piece I would probably had added some blending filament to the white to give it even some shade of purple.
Even though it seemed very unlike in Friday night, I feel quite good (no fever since yesterday) and am prepared to go to work tomorrow. Keep your thumbs up that I really am healthy and won't end up getting sick again.

My order from One Star's Light arrived - accompanied with three four complimentary designs from various designers! 
After reading from several blogs that latest JCS Ornament Issue was a flop I was even more curious to see it... and I don't get the disappointment. There are several designs I could stitch and my absolute favourite is The Victoria Sampler's Sugar and Lace Ornament, but in addition I loved, as usual, Dragon Dreams' Checking It Twice, The Sweetheart Tree™'s Noel Christmas Bellpull, Julia Lucas Designs' Deck of The Halls, SamSarah Design Studio's Winter Love and Val's Stuff's A Merry Kitty Klaws.
So, at least six loved, few more liked very much... not bad for a magazine costing mere $6.99 - noticing that I don't celebrate the said holiday.

Firstly: I practically stitched this only in Sunday due an occult case of hypersomnia. (It seems to me that it has been cold induced. My sinuses don't feel very good at the moment...)
Secondly: it was great to get back together with Loy, even I got only a bit done. It's always closer to the finish, and this is one of those projects where you look at the charted colours in awe and doubt highly the choices of the designer, but, after you get some of the odd colour stitched you get the idea.
For example I had been wondering for ages those areas of 3371 in a shrub - shrubs are supposed to be green, right? - but now when I have actually stitched all the 3371 in the page four I get the idea. It would be even more obvious if I had had time to stitch the leaf under the shrub.
I think that, in the artist's mind, that shrub in the background has wooden stems which explains the "high" and very dark shadow.

I don’t have any specific goal, either I stitch mother’s face and body or I do some gardening and stitch the bush (in case I still remember whereI put those skeins of green I recently purchased for it 
Health
I also decided that what I have is an asthma attack and stayed home today... After solid eight hours of good night's sleep I dozed off to the sofa in the morning and took a short nap... and slept for five hours.
I have also grown to love my new brochodilator and cortisone. Ventolin(e) caused constant tachycardia and other nasty side effects, Bricanyl caused tachycardia after the first dose and even my second dose for the day was twice as big I have no problems with my heart.
And the cortisone... they say that inhaled cortisone shouldn't absorb into your blood stream... but, I seem to have a cortisone high which begins few minutes after taking the medication.
Not that I complain, I enjoy the feeling of happy contentness. (As I have said, cortisone is good for me.) I just hope that my adrenal gland doesn't freak out from the constant additional cortisone...

Keeping myself busy
After getting her cell number from the synagogue I called to the Hebrew teacher in Friday... and now I have more things to do every week, in other words I will spend an hour every Tuesday in good company of alefbets.
What makes it interesting is that I haven't been in the lessons in two years and her opinion was that I can easily continue from where I stopped.
Admittedly one of the reasons why I have always liked her is that she doesn't seem to know the phrase I/ you can't do it.
This means that my stitching time will be limited in Tuesdays (as the day will go as follows: course -> back home -> shower -> eat -> head to the synagogue (well, in sense of correct terms the lessons are ran in the Jewish School of Helsinki, which is in Jewish Community Centre which is commonly referred as synagogue - the temple itself is in the community centre and in the same building as the school) -> learn -> come home at 21), though I have come up with a plan: I can stitch small items while waiting the lesson to begin (I usually have about 20-30 minutes to wait due buss scheduling (I'm too lazy to use the bus- train combo)) and therefore have some progress every day.
I will probably take something small with me to the course too, in case there are any idle moments (lunch, coffee breaks etc.).
And now, I am off to bed... (I foresee some lousy peak flow results in the morning. *grin*)
Speaking of asthma... It's silly actually. If you look at my unmedicated peak flow results (morning values) they are what an average woman in my age and height should have, and my medicated values are in the same line with an average man of my age and height. Which means that when I am not medicated my lungs are female and when I am medicated they turn out to be male...
I think I did say something about having strong lungs?
