Only good things

Surprising as it is - or maybe I just imagine that I have been companing quite a bit last year or so.

The most important good thing, is that today is/ was our 2nd anniversary as a couple!
Admittedly it is not surprising as for some reason it has always felt that we are us, period (if anyone undertands what I am trying to say).
But I have come to realise that I have really been found by a really great Man, much greater than I thought even I have always thought very highly of Him. (Admittedly He is sometimes somewhat frustrating, but no one is perfect, I guess.)

Secondly: recently I have come to see the light after years of darkness.
I would have never imagined that my life was so dark, muted, dull than I have now realised it was. And all just because one wise doctor gave me prescription for little white pills. Those little pills are like candles, they are bringing light to the ultimate darkness I used to call "life", and now I see how dark it was and still is.
But I know it is only getting better from now on and I know there will be more and more candles. Some day my life will be filled with light, even occasionally some candles become dimmer.

I don't know am I exorcising evil spirits as I am beginning to hope that my thyroid would just turn off completely as it would make life much easier in the end. Even though it would also mean that in case I do not have access to thyroxine I will fade away fast.
I just hate not being able to eat nectarines. I hate seeing my thyroid grow and shrink on daily basis. I hate those dim days because my thyroid has decided to take a day off causing the glass jar dose being too small.

Thirdly: I have finished (stitching and finishing wise) six (6) stiching smalls within last month!

I am soon beginning to think that the medication has had some kind of an effect on me!

It's dreadful to work on a model with finishing you have never ever done before. You know that basic form of the design is correct based on what you have seen, but when you turn the piece around your hands you can't believe that it would actually work.

Worst part is that you are still doubtful after making an example piece from plain fabric (Using rags for fun and profit).
This piece either makes me lose my marbles because of all the hours I wasted to it or then it makes me jump around like a lunatic just out of sheer happiness when I have finished it successfully.

I know I should be sleeping, but I can't... this piece haunts me. I have to stitch it to see which ending this project has. Fortunately I already have four models ready for the May launch, just in case this thing proves to be a catastrophe.

I remember saying that I stitch because it reduces my stress levels... as if.

Words of wisdom:

1. If you use 32 count and want to attach beads to the edge use petite beads.
2. If you have design with uneven stitch count, do not, for the sake of your sanity (or what is left of it), attach beads in the edge when making a biscornu.
3. But I recommend you to try to whipping with two strands, it gives the edge nice boldness. ^^

Devil Bear; Final HD

From this day on I'll have absolutely coolest bag in whole planet.

Though I've to admit that seam which keeps lining and outer bag together is not completely ok (from inside, from outside it's perfect), but I'll fix it some other day. Firstly I need to get to bed soon (I've that doctor's appointment at 9 am) and secondly I want to use that bag over the weekend. It's just so... ah!

Mail and devilish bag

Well, I got my overdyed from Sew and So and therefore I've everything I need to finish my CCLE item. Let me tell you, that floss is beautiful, it looks silky even it's 100% cotton and the colours...

And I've once again supported Finnish Postal Services financially... one little something is flying to somewhere. It should arrive within few days and then... there'll be pictures for your viewing pleasure.

Progress

You still remember her?

She's going to be bag in one of these days, as I've already sew the outer bag (out of black denim), and after this mug (or should I rather say bowl as it's about 5-6 dl) of tea I'll concentrate on the lining.
Actually my sewing machine has surprised me positively: only reason to buy that particular model was its price (read: it was cheap), but it seems to me that I actually bought much better machine than I ever could imagine... It sews denim on basic settings without any problems.

And I think I'm more advanced in art of sewing than I thought I was. (Remember, I am a weaver, not a seamstress.) Or maybe it's just ability to figure things out, who knows.

Huzzah for cleaning

I have been looking for Devil Bear for few days because I'd like to finally finish it, and after I lost all hope to actually find it in near future... I found it - of course, that is how it's supposed to be, right? - from place where it wasn't supposed to be (fortunately I had packed it to zip-log bag so no worries) under tons of papers.
And what's even better is the fact that I've measured the piece I stitched it extremely well... It'll finish big enough to fit HP there - in case I've need to carry it around before I can actually purchase laptop case for it.

So, this means that... tomorrow I seem to have two tasks: clean the floors (for about tenth time (not really) during this week and a half) and sew.

My SAL ornament is officially finished. Picture is lousy again, but that's how it is when you prefer to get more stash instead of new digital camera.

It's two-sided. My first design is on the other side of it and I stitched other design (as Kristine was very nice and gave us two versions of it: with and without beads):

• on black 14 count aida
• with variegated DMC #51 (IIRC) and
• used Mill Hill's beads,

so now I've a mood swing ornament.

My Silkweaver order has left the building. In other words: it's flying over Atlantic!

Good dawn.

Went to sleep before ten and woke up before two o'clock. Been finishing 2nd bookmark for SEBE, glanzing blogs, chatting in IRC channels, organizing my home page and generally wasted my time in best possible way. In a way I've always loved sleepless nights.

Anyway, I'm regular guest in Rósa's blog and been following her progress with Margaret Sherry's '12 Days of Christmas' Stitch-A-Long and happened to notice that I may have to stitch at least pattern or two (or all...) from that serie.
For example that knitting dove is just so... it's so like my mom. Stitching partridge is like me... Gosh Batman, I'm odd.

In a way it's odd... I claim that I don't like "cutesy", but anyway it seems that that is what I stitch in the end: two Hello Kittys, I've stitched one design from Margaret Sherry for my mom, Devil Bear, SEBE bookmarks (last one wont be cutesy though), intending to stitch one HK for myself...

I could almost doubt that my personality is "a bit" contradictory.

And in a way I seem to be insane. I added my blog to one webring:
